Great Lengths hair extensions are a brilliant way to completely transform your look, or to subtly enhance a style of what you already have.
Some of our lovely clients have them to get the wow factor with the length and thickness, or others to add texture or a brighter colour within shorter styles.
They're also a great way to add a fashion colour to the hair without the worry of the bright shade fading.
Great lengths are 100% ethically sourced human hair in order to achieve the most natural outcomes, great lengths are the only extension company to obtain and process their own hair. The hair is sourced from the temples of India as part of a Hindu ritual. The revenue from the purchase of the hair goes directly back into the community for different resources.
The hair is also 100% remis which means all the strands face the same direction, how the natural hair would grow. This keeps the hair in optimum condition and prevents a matting effect. The hair is also double drawn with the cuticle intact, this means on a single strand the hair is the same thickness from root to tip creating a healthy supple appearance, which would be clear on healthy natural hair. The cuticle still being intact means that moisture which protects the hair from the elements is sealed within the strand. This guarantees healthy hair.
The bond of the strand is a synthetic keratin bond, so it's as close to the natural keratin found in our hair and nails as it can be. The bond becomes soft when warmed, this makes it pliable in order to fix it into the hair. The bond then cools after a few seconds making the bond firm and fixed into the hair.
The bonds are cut down to suit each individuals hair type.
We remove the strands from the hair in salon with a special great lengths formula and tool in order to remove them to keep the natural hair in the best condition.
As long as the strands are really looked after and cared for and suit your hair type, there is no reason that they will cause damage to your hair.
